Impact of intelligence input; illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs three held by STF

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar at Jaleswar Market Dist. Balasore against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended three accused persons namely 1) Mamtaz Khan of Jadheswarpur PS. Jaleswar Dist. Balasore , 2) Udayanath Rath of village: Arana PS. Jagatsinghpur Town Dist. Jagatsinghpur and 3) Pradeep Kumar Das of Tainkala, Bailisimouza PS. Cuttack Sadar Dist. Cuttack .
During search Brown Sugar weighing 02 Kg 402 gram and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused persons could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband materials, for which the accused persons were arrested. In this connection STF PS Case No.30 dated 15.08.2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985 was registered. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 38 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 84 quintals 28 kg ( 84.28 ) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
