Impact assessment of agricultural and non-agricultural interventions
Patna : A capacity building program on agricultural and non-agricultural inputs for enhancing livelihood of rural women was organized under SCSP program on 29th October 2024 by ICAR Research Complex for Eastern Region, Patna. The team of Women Scientists and technical officers visited Chandamari, Lodhipur, Makhdumpurand Neoravillages under Patna District to monitor the progress and reporting of feedback of input provided for strengthening farm income and women empowerment. Different women beneficiaries of sewing machine expressed their gratitude and happiness for skill enhancement and strengthening family income which overall helped in improvement of their living status.Women farmers,named Madhu Devi, Gayatri Devi and Aabha Devi with the entrepreneurship through our non-agricultural intervention (sewing machine) created additional income source which helped in their children education, household expenses and savings for the future. In Chandamari, Lodhipur, village 20 and in Madkdumpur, Neora 15 rural women were benefited by the interventions of ICAR RCER, Patna. Afterwards a farmer cum scientist interaction was held to discuss their agricultural constraints and discussion on rabi crop planning. The impact assessment of agricultural and non-agricultural interventions encouraged the rural women to perform even better. They were pleased and voiced contentment. The program was conducted under the visionary leadership of Director Dr. Anup Das. The program was executed by Dr. Rajni Kumari, Dr. Rachana Dubey, Dr. Kumari Shubha, Dr. Kirti Saurabh, Dr. Arti Kumari, Dr. Sonaka Ghosh, Ms. Nupur Kumari, Ms. Usha Kiran and Ms. Sweta Kumari.
