Illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs Raid by STF (CB),Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar:On the basis of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar with the help of Sonepur Police near village Sagaja under Tarava PS Dist. Subarnarpur against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended two accused persons namely Purnananda Mandili of village Mundaghat PS. Birmaharajpur Dist. Subarnapur and Biswanath Karna of village Mahatpur PS. Manamunda Dist. Boudh.
During search contraband Ganja weighing 693 kg and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession. The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband material, for which a case has been registered at Tarava Police Station for necessary legal action. This refers to Tarava Police Station Case No. 159/ 2021 U/s 20 (b)(ii)(c) of NDPS Act 1985. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 35 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 74 quintals 38 kg ( 7438 ) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
