Illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs Foil by STF

Bhubaneswar:On the strength of intelligence input, a raid was conducted by team of STF, Bhubaneswar near Pipili-Nimapara over bridge, Pipili , Puri against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs and apprehended one accused person.
During search Brown Sugar weighing 01Kg 048 gram and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from his possession. The accused person could not produce any valid authority in support of possession of such contraband material, for which the accused person was arrested and will be forwarded to the court of District & Sessions Judge, Puri. In this connection STF PS Case No.26 dated 29.07.2021 U/s. 21(c) NDPS Act, 1985 was registered. Investigation is on.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 35 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 67 quintals 52 kg ( 6752 kg) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
