ILLEGAL GUTKA TRADE BUSTED IN BERHAMPUR

BERHAMPUR: Tightening the noose around the necks of the illegal tobacco producers in the ‘Silk City’, Berhampur Bada Bazar Police Friday at 1.30 PM, lead by Sub Inspector Bhasat Ray and team of Bada Bazar PS raided the House of S.Gurumurty Reddy @ Ravi Reddy of Jagabadhu Sahi Main Road. Cop busted the racket s and arrested with materials. The value of the seized articles is around 1 lakh rupees.
During the raid cops found that the adulteration of Gutka with others brand and processing the tobacco without the tobacco products and packing those in duplicate which foils of branded companies to send to the market. This is seriously an offence under the trade mark copyright act (?).
Around Three bags of fried raw materials and Packed name of Haridakhandi branded Pan Masala,bags of Gutka have been seized from the spot along with other accessories.
In this connection Bada Bazar PS case no. Case no 158 of 7.8.20 U/S 272/273/420/482/483 ipc/section 20 of COTPA Act /Sec 63 of Copy Right Act1963.Sub Inspector Arjun Jena is investigating the case the owner Ravi Reddy is detained for necessary interrogation.
