Illegal arms & ammunitions have been seized by STF

Bhubaneswar:Basing on intelligence input regarding illegal possession/sale of illegal fire arms by a veteran criminal who has been involved in multiple cases namely Sanjay Kumar Sahoo of Cuttack District, a team of officers of STF with the help of Commissionerate Police intercepted the person on Saturday near Acharyavihar, Bhubaneswar. During search arms and ammunitions i.e. 1) One 9 mm automatic country made pistol with Magazine, 2) One Revolver, 3) Two Nos. SBML Gun, 4) 06 numbers 9 MM live ammunitions, 7) 02 numbers 8 MM live ammunitions and 8) 03 numbers ball ammunitions were recovered from the possession of accuse person.
During last one year, drive against illegal arms & ammunitions have been conducted, STF has alone seized as many as 31 nos fire arms, 69 live ammunitions and arrested several criminals.
