If I smoked cigarettes socially for about 2 years before giving it up, what amount of damage did I do (?).

If you’re a normally healthy person: none. 90–92% of lifelong (repeat: lifelong) smokers never get lung cancer if that’s your concern. OTOH, lifelong non-smokers do get lung cancer so if you’re eventually unlucky (say, 40 years from now) it likely will have nothing to do with having socially smoked for a short time.
Almost the same odds of getting emphysema for lifelong smokers though 1994 research at Brandeis University has shown that “mild emphysema…is common after age 50” and further, that “it is rare to find adult lungs free of [it]. Two-thirds of adult males and one-quarter of adult females will have well-defined emphysema.” More likely, btw, if you live in a city. So again, if you get it after 50, you won’t know the cause.
That said, you can’t get any kind of answer about your personal health from Quora. All you’re likely to get is scare-mongered and lectured to and become a hypochondriac. There are no generalizations; everyone’s different. If you don t feel “damaged,” more than likely you’re not, but if you want a definitive answer, have your GP test your oxygen level, give you a breathing test to reveal your lung capacity, and then get a CT scan. That’s the only way to get a real answer to your question.
