ICADS-2026 Concludes with Valedictory Session at NIST University

Berhampur,( 13/02/2026):The International Conference on Air Defence and Security (ICADS-2026) concluded on 13 February 2026, following two days of deliberations at NIST University.

Proceedings of Day Two commenced with the Opening Address by Lt Gen R C Srikanth, AVSM, VSM, Commandant, Army Air Defence College, at the Stephen Hawking Auditorium. Senior faculty members and leadership from NIST University were also present. The conference proceeded withkeynote sessions delivered by Dr Balamati Choudhury, Sr Principal Scientist, CSIR-NAL,Bengaluru,Major Gorki Chandola (Retd), Rhombus Power India Ltd,Dr. Ali Yuce, Professor, Cappadocia University, Turkey, Dr Vijay Kumar Sutrakar, Scientist ‘F’, HoD Stealth Technologies Division, Aeronautical Development Establishment, DRDO, Bengaluru.

The day two also featured parallel technical sessions on Defence Strategic Environment, Specialized DefenseDomains & Future Readiness, Cyber Securityand Information Warfareenabling continued presentation of selected papers and structured professional interaction among participants.

A “Know Your Army” Equipment Display was organised by Army Air Defence College showcasing the military might of the Indian Army for all attendees and students from NIST University and from various schools in the vicinity. The conference also witnessed vendor exhibitions and various unique technological innovations developed by the students of NIST University in collaboration with Army Air Defence College.

The conference culminated with the Valedictory Session wherein the chief guestLt Gen RC Srikanth, AVSM, VSM, Commandant Army Air Defence College congratulated all the participants and organisers for the successful conduct of ICADS26. During his closing remarks he emphasized that such military-academia-industry synergy contribute immensely towards strengthening the national defence and provides a unique platform to inspire the young technocrats.

The successful conduct of ICADS-2026 underscored its significance as a premier forum for deliberations on contemporary air defence challenges and future security imperatives reinforcing collaborative approaches towards technological advancement and capacity building.
