HUMAN ACTION – MIGRANT WORKERS SENT BACK BY BERHAMPUR POLICE

BERHAMPUR:On Friday,about 11 PM thirty eight (38) migrant workers who were stuck in Berhampur City in Ganjam were sent back to Malda and Murshidabad,West Bengal by a Bus after obtaining all formalities from District Administration. Under the supervision of Mr BP Pati,SDPO,City and support from IIC,BN Pur PS Mr Sarada Prasanna Dash,IIC Sumanta Kishan and other police officers they transported.
Close to situation of Ganjam the Berhampur Police administration and Berhampur Municipal Corportation have arranged their quick movement from Odisha to West bengal.
The migrant workers stranded those have no money for self maintainance and came by walk from South (AP).The Berhampur BN Pur Police have detained them from Golonthara area and kept in Quarantine home from March 24th.
SDPO,Mr Pati told to Scribe,38 labours of Malda and Murshidabad are sent to their destination by a bus after thermal screening,permissionfrom administration after stay in quarntine home.All thease would possible due to guidence and encouragement of our SP, Berhampur,Mr Pnak Mishra, BeMC,Commissioner ,Mr Chakravartysingh Rathore.
The Migrants stating to police that “we have no money to pay for their transit passage back home to their respective home so we came by walk.However we are very much glad to Berhampur Police and Municipal authority that they all taken our all responisibilty and trated very nicely.Even during the period at Quarntine we all treated well sanitised,nice foodings etc… Before leaving Odisha we all thanks to Berhampur Police and the BeMC staff of their good hospitality”.
