House Surgeons at SCBMCH Announce Indefinite Strike Amid Ongoing Dispute with Nursing Staff

Cuttack: Over 250 house surgeons at SCB Medical College and Hospital (SCBMCH) in Cuttack have announced they will cease work starting tomorrow, escalating tensions between medical staff and nursing personnel.

This decision raises concerns about potential disruptions to healthcare services at the facility.

In a show of solidarity, medical students at SCBMCH have rallied in support of the house surgeons, highlighting the ongoing conflict.

Earlier today, both house surgeons and nursing staff held separate protests outside the superintendent’s office, exchanging slogans against each other.

The house surgeons have vowed to continue their strike indefinitely until their demands are addressed, according to a spokesperson for the group.
