Koraput:For the first time in the history of the Koraput district election, the Tung leaders of the three parties vied for the victory of the three main political parties defeating by an independent candidate for the first time.

Koraput and Pattangi MLAs, including Congress district president Meenakshi Bahinipati, BJD president Ishwar Chandra Panigrahi and senior BJP leader and former MP Jairam Pangi, in support of Mamata in the run-up to the polls, are holding a rally in Pattangi. The photo of Koraput MPs and Jaipur MLAs, including photos of President Niranjan Patnaik and BJP state president Sameer Mohanty, increased the importance of elections for the district council seat. Kotia, Maliput, Deopattangi, Pattangi, Gangrajpur, Nuaguda and Sarpi panchayats of Pattangi block, Pattangi, Gangrajpur, Nuaguda and Sunki panchayats in the Pattangi block were all campaigning for the by-elections.
