Heated Altercation, Scuffle Between BJP and Congress MLAs In Odisha Assembly

Bhubaneswar: A heated altercation led to an alleged scuffle between BJP MLA Jaynarayan Mishra and Congress MLA Tara Prasad Bahinipati during the Question Hour in the Odisha Assembly on Tuesday.

According to sources, the verbal row between the two aggravated into a physical confrontation while members in the House looked on in shock.

Speaking to newsmen, Congress MLA Bahinipati alleged that Jaynarayan Mishra grabbed his collar first. Till this report was filed, Jayanarayan had not given any comments regarding the incident.

This unruly incident created chaos in the Assembly. The Speaker had to adjourn the House till 12 pm.

The Assembly authorities have not issued any official statement regarding the matter.
