Gudari NAC Receives State-Level Honor and Rs.2 Crore Prize: 92% Rise in Own Revenue Collection

Rayagada, August 31: Achieving remarkable success in Own Source of Revenue (OSR) collection, Gudari Notified Area Council (NAC) in Rayagada district has carved out a unique identity at the state level. Following a nearly 92% increase in revenue collection, the State Housing & Urban Development Department honored Gudari NAC for commendable performance during the State-Level Local Self-Government Day celebrations.
Along with state-level recognition, a cash prize of Rs..2 crores was awarded. This grant will be utilized to develop urban infrastructure and further strengthen citizen services.
In the 2024–25 financial year, Gudari NAC collected a total of Rs.36.45 lakh in OSR. In the 2025–26 financial year, this collection surged to Rs.70.20 lakh. For this remarkable growth, the department awarded the council under the category ‘Commendable Local Body Performance in Growth of OSR Collection.’
This achievement was made possible through administrative guidance and coordinated efforts, steered by District Magistrate Ashutosh Kulkarni and supported by Project Director & DUDA Officer Akshay Kumar Khemundu. Additionally, the relentless dedication and efficiency of NAC Executive Officer Prasanna Kumar Padhi and all staff members & the Chairperson of Gudari NAC(Rayagada) Sarimita Sabar served as the primary foundation for this milestone.
