Glowing Koraput Municipality

Koraput:The state government will provide more than Rs 8 crore for the development of Koraput municipality.A high-level meeting was held at the Koraput district commissioner’s video conference room. It was attended by District Magistrate Abdal M Akhtar, DRDA PD Hemkant Soy, Municipal Executive Officer Swastik Jamadar, Koraput MLA and District Planning Board Chairman Raghuram Padal and some former councilors and five secretaries through VK Pandian VC. In the 21-ward Koraput municipality, a proposal has been submitted to the government for various developments such as gardens, roads, lighting, walkways, playgrounds and drains, while all the proposals will be approved within the next one week, according to five secretaries.
Koraput MLA Raghuram Padal said the state government has proposed 95 development projects for the Koraput municipality’s parks, children’s sports, roads and drains, public gyms through the state government’s pearl scheme. Today, five secretaries, VK Pandian, were present through the VC and announced that the projects would be approved within seven days. Koraput residents, including the legislator, thanked Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
