GENERAL MANAGER, ECoR INSPECTED KORAPUT-RAYAGADA LINE

Rayagada, December 21: General Manager, East Coast Railway Shri RN Sunkar inspected Koraput-Rayagada line, NALCO, Tikiri, Rayagada etc on last Wednesday. He inspected sidings, railway establishments, railway stations, Nalco Damanjodi, etc. He conducted window trailing inspection of the section to check track, curves, bridges, points & crossing, etc. Divisional Railway Manager Shri Anup Satpathy, Principal Heads from various departments and Branch officers of Waltair accompanied GM, ECoR during his inspection.
General Manager inspected the ongoing works of Koraput-Rayagada section. This is maiden visit of the GM after assuming charge. Further, GM Shri RN Sunkar inspected amenities and running room at the Koraput railway station and interacted with the loco pilots, guards and staff at the running room to take feedback on facilities. He inspected the running room and railway siding at Damanjodi. He interacted with the higher officials of NALCO and held elaborate discussions for improving loading.
GM held meetings with NALCO top officials to discuss various issues pertaining to enhancing the loading of rakes and transportation. This will not only increase the traffic of both parties but also generate additional revenue. GM inspected Lakshmipur Road station and later TIkiri. Higher officials of Utkal Allumina met GM, ECoR to discuss various issues of mutual interest. Local people gave representations to GM requesting stoppage of some trains.
Shri RN Sunkar inspected Rayagada station. During his inspection he interacted with various representatives, media persons and said that various developmental activities have been carried out in this region as per the guidelines issued by the Railway Board.
