GANJAM;WORLD TOURISM DAY-2020 HELD AT GOPALPUR

BERHAMPUR:Today the World Tourism Day celebrated at Gopalpur-On-Sea  this morning with bands and inaugurated by the Collector cum D.M Ganjam Vijay Amruta Kulange.

Keeping in view of Covid19 restriction this year the administration conducted the festival very decently. He distributed Masks, Sanitizers to the public and categorically appeal Do use Mask and stay safe. After the distribution the delegates and locals made mass cleaning of beach with other stakeholders.

Among others, Sub Collector, Berhampur, Tourist Officer, MLA Gopalpur, ,ex-chairman of Gopalpur NAC,Executive Officer NAC,DIPRO,Ganjam,SDIPRO Berhampur  and many hoteliers were present.

This year one different taste came to front, Berhampur Tourist officer didn’t felt to inform the Media other than of his choice and ignore the scribes (?).Such negative attitude of the DTO not decent (!) also a big question marks among some scribes (?).

Should we underline such type of  negligence or monopolies of the Tourist wing of Ganjam or any instructions from back drop as they Wish (?).Even many citizens and senior citizens said that “We are Un Wanted by expressing their agony.

Many senior scribes thought the matter from their upper case cause of their experience “it’s knowingly or by influence as detector of some private agencies those are more active to pocket the officers of Tourism last couple of years (?).But the DTO should not allow to any private organisation as Proprietary of someone’s (?).

Ganjam administration peaceful observe the day with entire restriction but didn’t forgot to concern with the Slogan of “CORONA FAILED – GANJAM OWN “and last two days Ganjam celebrating free from Covid19 week.

In a meeting the Collector also requested “We should not close our eyes that Corona has gone so we need to follow our basic guideline like uses Mask, proper Hand wash and Sanitises”.

Notably, Ganjam is an ideal choice for its scenic beauty, monuments, rivers and religious spots. A mix of moist peninsular high and low level Sal forests, tropical moist and dry deciduous and tropical deciduous forest types provide a wide range of forest products and unique lifestyle to wild life. Bhairabi, which consists of 108 temples, is a place of worship and popular destination for tourists. Taptapani, which consist of a hot sulphur spring that is 56 km from Berhampur, near Ganjam, is also a tourist destination Maa Tara Tarini sits on Taratarini Hill near Angu. Solaghar, Raipur is also a famous destination for tourists. Twin Goddess Tara and Tarini are worshipped there. Rushi kulya flows at the foot of the Taratarini Hill. The temple of the Goddess Mahuri Kaluaa is near a famous picnic spot by the same name located at the center of the town.

In previous years Ganjam district administration did variety of activity including  press people, school students and public displayed  variety of food items including Indian, continental dishes.

Other attractions included Odia Pitha & Kabab, Biriyani, Quick Service Snacks, Mocktail, Shakes, Bakery & Confectionary, Pizza, Chakuli & Mutton, Sea Food & Sea Fish, Tribal Food and Milk Products.
