GANJAM POLICE PAYS LAST RESPECT TO CORONA WARRIOR COP- BODY LEFT UNATTENDED (!).

GANJAM: Amid the rising COVID-19 cases in Ganjam district, a frontline corona warrior’s body was left unattended for several hours outside the Bhanjanagar hospital.
The Corona warrior an ASI of Police Rabindranath Behera who was posted at Bhanjanagar court and he was living in Beguniapada for a while.
When Behera was unwell for the last four days as he was suffering from cold and fever and he had come to Kodala hospital for a check-up, later he was shifted to Bhanjanagar Sub Divisional Hospital for better treatment.His antigen test proved as positive & despite prolonged treatment and his condition worsened and he died while undergoing the hospital.Doctors could not save his life.
The cop’s body was reportedly left unattended outside the hospital for hours as neither his family members nor the friends, locals and medical staffs were not ready to touch it fearing that he succumbed to the deadly Corona virus.
After, the incident was spotlighted; two Media persons with the help of Police carried the body wearing PPE kits for the final rites of the deceased. Cremation donned with all Guard of Honors.SP Ganjam, ASP,DSP-DIB, Tehsildar,BDO many Journalist of Kodala with SDPO of Purusottampur and Bhanjanagar have joined.
Southern Range DIG,Satyabrata Bhoi,conveyed his deep condolences & paid their last Respect to Departed Soul.His untimely demise shocked even now not believable.
People in the area have told for his benevolent service & loyality.
Ganjam SP Brijesh Kumar Rai paid his condolences to the bereaved family and has ordered Bhanjanagar SDPO to carry out the necessary procedure to provide the necessary support to the victim family. Under the instruction TP Patro, ASP, SDPO Purusottompur were rush to the spot.
This evening Ganjam Police paid homage to frontline COVID Warrior ASI Rabindranath Behera who succumbed to COVID-19 in the line of duty.
