GANJAM – FANS OF ACTOR SUSHANT SINGH COMMITTED SUICIDE(!).

BERHAMPUR,05/07/20: Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s fan, a minor girl hailing from Chikiti block in Odisha’s Ganjam district, had attempted suicide following the actor’s death. The 14-yr girl, CH Mamata, who was undergoing treatment at MKCG Medical College & Hospital in Berhampur for the past 17 days, succumbed on Sunday.
Mamata, the daughter of CH Narasingh, belongs to Mahishanpur under Nuagaon police station. She seems to be the latest victim among the fans of Bollywood actor who committed suicide allegedly due to protracted depression. The police have registered a case of unnatural death under Sections 306/20 of the IPC.
According to family sources, Mamata- a Class IX student was deeply upset with the death of her favourite actor SSR. Before committing suicide, Mamata was persistently asking her parents and friends to know about the events that forced the Bollywood actor to take the extreme step.
Reports said on June 18 morning, Mamata went upstairs and did not return to downstairs for quite a long time. Her mother, smelling foul then went upstairs to find to her surprise that she was hanging from the ceiling by tying a saree around her neck.
She was immediately shifted to MKCG hospital for treatment. Doctors put the girl in the ICU as her condition deteriorated. However, she breathed her last on Sunday.
