Ganja Worth 5 Lakh Seized In Gajapati

Gajapati: One person arrested and seized nearly 149.700 Kgs Ganja worth over Rs 5 lakh and one Bolero was seized from the possession of the transporter by Mohana Police yesterday. The contraband was being transported from Raipang to Patna,Bihar police suspects.
Speaking to scribe Sujit Nayak,IIC,Mohona PS said by the instructions of SP Gajapat the our patrolling have detain one Bolero on road and under suspect detained the vehicle having the W.B registration. During our search at Kamalapur junction we found 5 bags of Ganja.
In presence of Tehsildar-cum-Executive Magistrate, Mohana entire bags being weighed and found149.700 Kgs of Ganja whose cost would have 5 lakhs.
In connection we have arrested the Driver Rampu Kumar Yadav(20) hail from Chandpur of Baisali district, who was trying to transport from Raipanka of Mohana block towards Patna of Bihar,on his confession.Nayak added.
