Gang of Illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs Busted by STF,Odisha

Bhubaneswar:The Special Task Force (STF) of Odisha Crime Branch has seized around 2.06 kilogram of brown sugar with the arrest of three persons in Balasore district on Thursday.
Reportedly, acting on an intelligence input, a team of STF from Bhubaneswar conducted a raid against the illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs Jaleswar Bazar in Balasore and nabbed three persons.
In a release the STF authority wrote that a raid was conducted by team of STF , Bhubaneswar at Jaleswar Bazar against illegal trade of Narcotic Drugs, as result of which three accused persons namely 1) Sk Sabjan, 2) Birendranath Sahoo @ Pintu, and 3) Kamal Lochan Das of Jaleswar were apprehended. During search Brown sugar weighing 2 kg 066Gms and other incriminating materials were recovered & seized from their possession.
In this connection STF PS Case No.21 dated 03.06.2021 U/s. 21(c)/29 NDPS Act, 1985 was registered.
Since 2020, STF in the special drive against narcotic drugs has seized more than 32 Kg of Brown Sugar/Heroin and more than 66 quintals ( 6600 kg) of Ganja /Marijuna and arrested more than 100 drug dealers/peddlers.
Investigation is on.
