GANG OF GOLD ROBBERS ARRESTED BY GANJAM POLICE

GANJAM,(Chatrapur):Ganjam Police have recovered 6kg.501gms gold ornaments cash of Rs. 4 lakhs 44 thousand five hundred, DVR of CCTV and stabilizer which was seized under leading to discovery sec 27 of I.E. Act.
Producing the accused at a press conference DIG (SR) Satyabrata Bhoi and Brijesh Rai,SP,Ganjam told on 13.10.2020 the complainant Surendra Kumar Nayak (52) of village Changudiapadar Sahi, Purusottampur, lodged a written report alleging that on 12/13.10.2020 night some unknown culprits entered into his house by breaking open the door of the terrace and committed night burglary in respect of gold ornaments more than one Crores, by breaking open wooden Almirah and also took away two mobile phones, DVR of CCTV and stabilizer.
During investigation got information from the reliable source that the accused persons had committed theft from the house of Surendra Kumar Nayak of village Changudiapadar Sahi, Purusottampur.
On this information conducted raid and apprehended the accused persons. The accused persons have been identified as; Kalia @ Ghanashyam Behera ( 30 ) Master Mind),Village, Naitata Sahi, Purushottampur,Kalia Das (20) Village, Bada Bauri Sahi, Purushottampur,Pintu Nahak (26) (Involve),Village,Raghunath Palli, Kabisurya Nagar, Bulu Nahak (30) (Involve),Village,Bauri Sahi, Budhaamba, Kabisurya Nagar, Bagha @Trinath Behera (20) of village Nandika Sahi, Purushottampur,Kanhu Charan Pattanaik(20) of Village,Gada Sahi Purushottampur,Sankar Bahera (24) of village Gada Sahi, Purushottampur,Swarajya Das (21) of village Kolasingi,Purushottampur,Sanyasi Nahak (30) of village Ragunath Palli, Kabisurya Nagar and Amit Behera (18) (Master of Plan) (Gumusta) of village Old Jagannath Temple street (supplied information regarding layout of spot house to accused Kalia Behera and also assisted at time of operation).
On Tuesday during the interrogation, it was ascertained that accused Kalia @ Ghanashyama Behera is a master mind of this crime and he collected information from one Amit Behera of Naitala Sahi, Purusottampur who was working as an assistant of the complainant regarding availability of gold ornaments and entrance door in to the house. After collecting information he contacted the above named accused persons, chalked out plan and attempted thrice to commit burglary but could not succeed.
On further interrogation they confessed that on 12/13.10.2020 night they entered into the house of the complainant by breaking open the door of the terrace and committed night burglary in respect of gold ornaments more than one Crores, by breaking open wooden Almirah and also took away two mobile phones, DVR of CCTV and stabilizer and while in police custody gave recovery of the stolen gold ornaments weighing 6.501Kg.
