Gajapti ADM Dies While Singing Jagannath Bhajan On Stage, Odisha CM Mourns His Death
Paralakhemundi: The Additional District Magistrate (ADM) of Gajapati, Birendra Das died while singing a Jagannath bhajan on stage at a cultural event. He is suspected to have suffered a cardiac arrest.
The video of the incident has now gone viral on social media. In the video, the ADM is seen singing a Jagannath Bhajan on stage. He suddenly loses balance and slumps down to the floor. He was immediately rushed to Parlakhemundi District Headquarters Hospital (DHH) and then to MKCG Medical College and Hospital in Berhampur, where the doctors declared him brought dead.
Das was the ADM (Revenue) for over two years in Gajapati district.
Chief Minister of Odisha Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday expressed grief over the demise of ADM Birendra Kumar Das an dsent condolences to his family.
Chief Minister in a release said, “Late Das was a dedicated and duty-bound officer who always worked tirelessly for the benefit of the public. He was highly praised for his administrative skills and was an asset to the state. The state has lost a capable and efficient administrator in his passing.”
