FORMER UNION MINISTER CONVICTED IN COAL SCAM CASE (!).

ROURKELA: Dilip Ray former union Minister in Vajpayee govt. Is convicted by a special court in Delhi today relating to most discussed coal scam case happened in 1999. The said case of irregularities was filed when the scam in allocation of coal block in Giridh,Jharkhand which was came to lime light in 1999.

Since then case has been going on in the court. Other two officials are also convicted by the court and they are Pradip Kumar Banerjee and Nitya Nand Gautama, Castron Technologies Ltd as news came in a particular National TV channel. The quantum of punishment will be discussed on 14 th October.

Dilip Ray in 2014 State election had won the Rourkela constituency defeating present MLA, Sarada Prasad Nayak.Just before the 2019 Assembly election he had quit BJP and did not contest the election.

This judgment has come from Special Judge Bharat Parashar This news has upset the fans of Dilip Ray in his home town, Rourkela.

Everybody is curious about the quantum of punishment. Immediate reaction could not be sought because of his non-availability. No doubt, this will bring many storms among his fans and may be his rivals will take this situation as advantage but one thing is sure Dilip Ray is a popular face in Rourkela and closely associated with top leaders of all political parties, hence, he will gain sympathy from all corner.
