FORMER PRESIDENT PRANAB MUKHERJEE, PASSED AWAY IN NEW DELHI

DELHI:In tragic news the former President of India and veteran congress leader passed away at the age of 84 in Delhi this evening.  This news was confirmed by Abhijit Mukherjee, Son of Pranan Mukherjee in a tweet. The cause of death is said because of septic shock due to a lung infection and brain clot surgery as per the news sources. He was admitted to the hospital in New Delhi. He had been in politics since last five decades and had served the country in different ministerial post. He served as President of India from 2012 to 2017. He was honored with highest civilian award Bharat Ratna in the year 2019. He remained as Finance Minister from 2009 to 2012 in UPA Govt. He was born on 11th December 1935 in Mirati village in the Bengal Presidency f British India, now West Bengal. He was highly qualified and did his MA in Political Science & History and LL.B degree both from University of Calcutta. He worked as a lecturer at Vidya Sagar college and then went to became Journalist with ‘Desher Dak’. His political career started in the year 1969. He had served the nation in different levels as Rajya Sabha and Lok Sabha member. In his sad demise President of India Ram Nath Kovind, Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu with Narendra Modi and many top politicians have given condolence message.
