For Ragging, 5 Senior Students of MKCG Medical College Debarred from Campus for 6 months
Berhampur: Five senior students of MKCG Medical College and Hospital have been debarred from the campus for six months by the authorities for their alleged involvement in ragging of junior students.
As per the reports, the MKCG MCH authorities took this decision when some junior MBBS students and their parents complained about ragging before the Medical Commission (NMC). The junior students alleged their seniors allegedly thrashed them, abused and forced them to dance. When they try to resist, the senior attacked them.
Following intervention by the NMC, the Dean of the institute had initiated an inquiry in this connection.
Acting on the directions of the NMC and the report of the anti-ragging committee of the medical college, this disciplinary action was initiated against the offenders.
The accused senior students have been directed to stay away from the campus for six months.
