GANJAM:Dharakote Police foiled a dacoity bid and arrested nine persons in Ganjam district on Tuesday.
Acting on a tip-off, Dharakote police busted a gang dacoits and in connection nine habitual dacoits with two middle men were arrested.
Police have recovered with Cash of 12,59,500/- and seized 08 nos of mobile phones,one mental punch, 04 MC, one toy pistol, remanants of 02 burnt mobile of victim.Speaking to Scribe SP,Ganjam Brijesh rai said, due to timely action of Police huge amont of cash has been recovered from the possession of the accused persons. kudos to all team.
Sources said,Cash of Rs 16,80000/- after selling their Goats in Goat market at Vishakapatnam. They arrived at ichapur at 08:00 pm and called auto driver Kabi gouda (25) of village dakibaja PS- Badagada Dist- Ganjam to girisola gate.
Acoordingly the auto driver being accompained with his friedns namely Basanta kumar bisoi (25)of village Bhaliagochha under Soroda PS,Gganjam reached Girisola gate accordingly to their plan and programme.
Thereafter they returned to Dakibaja availing the road of girisola. Digapahandi , pattapur, bandhaguda chakka . During the journey the complaint and this two other associate sit in the dala of the auto. The helper basanta biswal was sitting with the driver in front cabin.At about 12 midnight they reached at Badagadda Kulagada Chowk where they have been obstructed by 8 dacoits in 4 motor cycle on the point of sword and pistol.Then the dacoits assaulted the complaint and his two associated by means of pistol butt and bamboo lathi and looted cash of 16,80,800-/- from them went towards Bandhaguda side.
During investigation the prime suspect of the case i.e helper and driver of the auto have confessed their guilty and made conspiracy with 9 other accused person and coimitted dacoity in respect of cash , mobile phone etc.
Due to timely action of police a sum of Rs 12,59,500-/- has been recovered from the possession of 9 dacoits along with weapon of offence , one toy pistol , one sword and metal punch.The case is under investigation.
