FLIGHT OPERATIONS RESUME AT BHUBANESWAR AIRPORT

Bhubaneswar:Flights operations resumed the services from Biju Patnaik International Airport on Monday.

Following this, passengers arrive at Bhubaneswar Airportto board flights to their respective destinations.

After the civil aviation ministry decided resumption of domestic flights in the country in the fourth phase lockdown, the Director General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), the highest technical body to accord permission to the airlines, sent list of the airlines, which had evinced interest, to the airport here.

According to the information shared by Biju Patnaik International Airport authorities, Indigo, Vistara, Air India, Air Asia, Alliance Air flights will take off from Bhubaneswar to destinations Hyderabad, Delhi, Jharsuguda, Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai.

The first flight to take off today morning will be Indigo, Hyderabad at 8:10 am.

“In view of the resumption of flights, we have completed inspection and trial operations of all required sections and along with all stakeholders including the security personnel. Sanitisers and wash basins have been provided at arrival and departure lounge to maintain hand hygiene. There will be periodic sanitization of surfaces, trolley, trays, xray machines and counters,” the director said.
