Five arrested and three returned on suspicion of poaching wild animals

Koraput: Forest officer Rohit Kumar and his team raided and arrested five people on river bed in Kartas Janiguda village under the Koraput Sadar police station, killing four people and distributing their shares. Fled the scene. Twelve meats and other items seized will be brought to Koraput, and the five arrested will be examined and taken to court.
According to sources, Jayaram Jani (age 52), Padalam Muduli (age 42) and Chaitan Jani (age 40) of Kartas Janiguda village under Koraput Sadar police station Meen Chapadi (age 40) of Dhepaguda village and Guru Mali (age 45) of Jogi Maliguda village Forrest and forest rangers seized the meat and arrested five people, according to a source close to the wildlife conservation law. Rohit Kumar, a Koraput forest official, said there had been three cases of wildlife poaching this year and the accused had returned. “Forest protection committees have been set up in every village,” he told reporters. They are working to protect the forest, to protect the forest from fires and to warn people not to hunt wild animals.
