FIRECRACKER BAN IN ODISHA, NAVEEN PATNAIK DIRECTS OFFICIALS TO ENFORCE

BHUBANESWAR: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik directed Covid Observers appointed for each district to undertake visits to ensure the order for ban on the sale and use of firecrackers has been adhered.
During a weekly review meeting through video conference, the Chief Minister said any complacency towards the Covid-19 pandemic is not acceptable. He also ordered District Collectors and SPs to ensure strict enforcement of the firecracker ban order in all the districts.
The Odisha government prohibited the sale and use of firecrackers across the State from November 10 to 30, 2020 to make air less polluted and breathable in view of the pandemic.
