Festive Season Rail Boost: Two Weekly Special Trains via Odisha Announced
Bhubaneswar: To ease travel during the festive rush, Indian Railways has introduced two weekly special trains passing through Odisha, offering more options for long-distance travellers.
Hyderabad–Bhubaneswar New Special Train: This train departs Hyderabad every Tuesday at 5:30 PM until October 28, and returns from Bhubaneswar New every Wednesday at 10.30 pm until October 29. Key stops include: Secunderabad, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Vizianagaram, Brahmapur, and Khurda Road. Coach Composition: 2nd AC (4), 3rd AC (8), Sleeper (6), General (2), Divyangjan coach (1), Generator Motor Car (1).
Madurai–Barauni Weekly Special Train: This service leaves Madurai every Wednesday at 8.40 pm until November 26, and returns from Barauni every Saturday at 11 pm until November 29. Major halts include: Salem, Katpadi, Vijayawada, Bhubaneswar New, Cuttack, Kharagpur, Durgapur, Asansol, and Jamui. Coach Composition: 3rd AC (16), Luggage cum Generator & Brake Vans (2).
These trains are designed to improve connectivity and reduce congestion during peak travel periods. Passengers are advised to book early and check updated schedules on official railway platforms.
