Paralakhemundi:Led by Bijay Kumar Jena,Ex-MLA of Paralakhemundi Assembly constituency with President of district farmers association Suryanarayan Patnaik submitted Memorandum to Sub-Collector Sangram Sekhar Panda, addressed to Chief Minister of Odisha.Null & void gimmicks played and perplexed among farmers of Gosani block who rushed to stick up their stand at the earliest purchase of paddy in Mandi.

As decided from 25th January process of purchase of paddy by Mandi, but meanwhile due to procurement farmers stranded to keep stock at paddy field mostly which may invite rain, theft, fire & ultimately affect whole years earned bread.

In this regard Mr.Jena ex-MLA, retorted that overall from district 1.33 lakh tons of paddy procured from the district where district administration negotiated to purchase 33 thousand tons in Mandi. It is inevitable for farmers to sale on less rate of 1150 to 1200 to private parties through agents, instead of govt MSP 1530 per 80kgs.This too levied posted agents of millers & other middle men to relinquish profit margin of farmers due to delay on storing at Mandi. Rather farmers will more deprive to get their legitimate earnings from their hard toil.

Time & anxiety still gripping among those farmers to start early sales of paddy at Mandi to thwart further curiosity of middlemen jinx on distressed sale, quipped Mr.Jena.

Among other farmers Y.Ramudu, Y.Ramdas, Malli Kumar Jena, Krushna Candra Jena,Tarini Nayak,Y.Subbarao,A.Laxminarayana,Kailash Palai,Debendra Nayak and Raghunath Jena were present.
