FARMERS OF BARI NOT HAPPY WITH THE MONOPOLY WORKS OF L&T

JAJPUR,(Bari): The farmers of Bari block have shown their dissatisfaction on their monopoly services of L&T , the main contractor of the Mega Lift irrigation Project. They irritated upon the result of the water resources department.
As per report the contractor attitude an anti Nexus along the higher officials of the division able to credit all the outstanding bills without providing the aiming facilities, for which why the farmers of Bari now facing problems due to non supply of sufficient water to their lands as a result the crops have been destroyed due to water scarcity.
To provide the farmers a smooth watter supply the state government had sanctioned this mega lift irrigation project for an area of 3700 hectares through three different projects for Bari Block and handed the project to the L&T on last 11th July of 2016 ,directed to complete by the 31st of June 2019 through a contract sign between them.
Today farmers have alleged that still they have not supplied water but in Paper the project has been declared as project is completed (?).
Three centres under this high level project in Chatumari of Bhurugan GP, Rajapur ,Asalpur of Amatpur GP not yet completed but has been informed the division that the project already completed nd being operated . Rather than to provide the farmers a good service ,the contractor has looted the government funds and cheated with Poor farmers that the Coordinator of Nabanirman Krushak Sangathan,.Nimayee Nayak has alleged in a Press meet.
As per the ground report the project centres have no own electricity facilities , the delivery pipes are lying on the farmers land for why farmer unable to plough their lands properly .The further information reveal the pipes should be fixed under one metre from the upper land but the contractor has violated the guidelines under the nose of the administration, they alleged.
Now the villagers demands for a complete investigation by some agency to find out the irregularities and cheating, monopoly activities of L&T to the Poor farmers otherwise farmers of Bari may protest against the Contractor the leaders added.
