Farmers Blocked Road for Irrigation

Paralakhemundi:Farmers of Gajapati are at tense due to lack of rain on almost post monsoon season, for which they are unable to cultivate their land.

So at Seventh mile jn villagers from Tamparkaitha, Bagusala, Kududa, Badagain, Bhinola, Bapujipentha, Seventh mile of Bagusala panchayat roared & blocked the road for irrigation source to teal their land. For which transportation on either side halted & passengers too stranded. Immediately Mamata Panda, OIC of Gurandi dashed to spot & compromised with those agitators. Meanwhile PD DRDA Anam Charan Patra, Tehsildar Achyutananda Jani, staff of MI department too discussed with those farmers & decided to release water from head point for 5 days. But so far such order yet to be functional.

Those staff of MI rather busy on forest cleaning instead of clearing their dire strait situations. Before end of monsoon if they turn heed their demand they will be again turned out at road where administration will be responsible, they warned.
