Fake Online VIP Passes of Gopalpur Beach Festival (!)

Berhampur: The Berhampur Police has detained a youth for allegedly spreading fake information regarding online sale of VIP passes .
According to the Supretendent of Police Dr Saravana Vivkek.M, an information was received regarding availability of Gopalpur beach festival passes in online marketing website and the Gopalpur Police immediately started investigation.
During the course of investigation by the Cyber team it was found that one unknown person had created an fake ID in OLX and posted that VIP passes for Gopalpur Beach festival was available for Sale.
On Saturday morning the experts police team tracked him who is living in his Uncle’s house in Gopalpur . The team found the person & detained him for interrogation. He is a 18 year old boy from Jail Road, Lanjipalli , Berhampur.
He was thoroughly interrogated. It was found that the boy is of unsound mind. He was using his sister’s mobile, he had created an ID in OLX which he learnt through YouTube.
Entire family members were also interrogated and they agreed that the boy was of unsound mind. Their house was searched and nothing incriminating was found. No tickets were available with the boy. After all verification the boy was left in custody of his relatives he added.
Meanwhile, Berhampur SP Dr. Saravana Vivek M appealed to the people not to believe in rumors of passes available for sale. He also urged not to spread fake news and inform the police if any such information is received.
