Eye Testing Camp by SAKSHAM Mobile Eye Care Centre

Rayagada, January 27: An eye testing camp was organized in the Govt high school campus of Munisingh village under Kolnara block. Eye examination of more than sixty students of the school and twelve teacher trainees were also conducted. Out of the tested students and teacher trainees, five were found having problems in their eyes and one was hard of hearing. Sri Ramachandra Sahu, Sachib of SAKSHAM, Odisha Paschim, said, ” SAKSHAM will provide all the eye care facilities to the extent possible according to the needs of the patients.”
Sri Bijaya Kumar Mishra, Treasurer, SAKSHAM, Odisha Paschim facilitated organising the camp with help of school teachers and village volunteers. Sri Shyam Kumar Dash, Dist Secretary & Prant Yuva Pramukh of Saksham sensitized the students & teachers and gave a detailed presentation about SAKSHAM. He also spoke about the government schemes of all 21 types of Dibyang as declared by GOI.
Mr. M. Vidya Sagar, Palak , Zilla Divyang Kendra, Sri. Gadadhar Padhi, Sri. Abhimanyu Raul, Sri. Sri Sekhar Behera & other teachers were present in the camp throughout and made the camp successful. Many such camps through this mobile eye care centre are being run in Rayagada district and such programs will continue in the coming days as well, Mr. Shyam Kumar Das informed at the end. Sri.
