Extortion Goon “Mahakal” Held by B’Pur Bada Bazar Police

Berhampur: The Berhampur Bada Bazar Police has arrested one Hardcore while demanding extortion money from Businessman in city.
The accused have been identified as Rajesh Panigrahi @ Rani Panda (23) S/o Late Narasingha Panigrahiof Laxmi Nrusingha Sahi, 6th Lane, Santi Nagar, BerhampurPS- Bada Bazar, Berhampur. Presently Near Church Road, East Kanju Marg, PS- Kanju Marg, Mumbai City.
The Cops have seized Contraband Ganja weighing 26 Kgs One Bajaj Discover Motorcycle bearing Regd. No OR-07-K-8444 from his possession.
According to release it said, The above noted accused along with his associates have been extorting money from the businessman of Bada Bazar PS area by terrorizing them since last few days. He was utilising this money for illegal peddling of Narcotic Drugs like Ganja from Gajapati and other adjoining Districts to outside states. Today at about 11.45 PM SI Ranjit Dash and other staff of Badabazar PS were conducting MV Checking at Uttaramukhi Chhaka. The above noted accused was coming from Tamana Ghati side towards Berhampur in the above noted MC loaded with the above quantity of Ganja in a bag for disposing the same somewhere beyond the state. A train ticket from Berhampur to Chennai City was booked for today in the name of others which is also seized. The accused is arrested today. The accused was previously involved in 8 other cases of Bada Bazar, and Golanthara Police jointly discharging the Investigation of the case and it in progress.
