Expelled BJD MLA, Pradeep on Crime Branch Remand

BHUBANESWAR: The Bhubaneswar SDJM court today allowed Odisha Crime Branch, to take expelled BJD MLA Pradeep Panigrahy on a two-day remand for further investigations.

Panigrahy was arrested by Odisha Crime Branch on graft charges and has on rest in Jharpada Special Jail in state Capital. He is accused of cheating aspirants on pretext of providing job in Tata Group according to Crime Branch.

Panigrahy, MLA from Gopalpur in Ganjam district was expelled from BJD last week for anti-people activities by his party supremo Naveen Patnaik.

Number of allegations of cheating aspirants have surfaced against the legislator Panigrahy and his direct link with Akash the would be Son-In-Law the fake Managing Director (In-Charge)of Tata Engine Division. Several aspirants have accused the legislator and Akash of cheating more than 100 aspirants of Gopalpur and Berhampur on pretext of job.
