Ex- Superintendent OSWHC lands in Sambalpur Vigilance

Sambalpur: Launching a crackdown on corrupt officials Vigilance sleuths of Sambalpur division on Thursday raided an Ex- Superintendent OSWHC houses located in various places in State for accumulating assets disproportionate to his known source of income.
As per the report, the anti-corruption wing officials from Sambalpur carried out On the allegation of acquisition and possession of disproportionate assets by the S.O. Sri Ganapati Purohit, Ex- Superintendent (Retired), Odisha State Ware Housing Corporation, Titilagarh, Dist- Bolagir his (1)Residential house located at Rajendrapada, Bolangir Town, Dist- Bolangir (2) residential house at Palace line Bolangir, (3)newly constructed residential house at Palace line, Bolangir and (4) the Office Chamber of S.O. Smt. Sabita Kumari Dash, Asst. Teacher located at Govt. Primary School, Khaisbahali under Bolangir Block, Dist- Bolangir were simultaneously searched Thursday i.e. on 08.07.2021 by the Officers of Vigilance Sambalpur Division, Sambalpur on the strength of Search Warrants issued by the Special Judge, Vigilance, Bolangir to find out assets disproportionate to their known sources of income.
During search, the following movable and immovable assets found in possession of Sri Ganapati Purohit, Ex- Superintendent (Retired), Odisha State Ware Housing Corporation, Titilagarh, Dist- Bolagir and his wife Smt. Sabita Kumari Dash, Asst. Teacher, Govt. Primary School, Khaisbahali under Bolangir Block, Dist- Bolangir in their names and in the name of their family members traced so far are;
Immovable assets like two nos. of triple storey building and 01 no. of plot at Palace line, Bolangir worth of Rs. 2,23,72,138.00.
Besides the above, movable assets like, costly household articles, furniture’s, electrical/electronic gadgets, gold ornaments, one Super Splender Motor Cycle, one Honda CT Car, one Honda Activa Scooter worth Rs.15,97,740.00, deposits in different Banks Rs.90,76,669.00 and Hard Cash of Rs. 2080.00 etc. have been detected.
According to Officer,the total movable and immovable assets so far detected during house search is calculated at Rs.3,30,48,627.00 (Three Crore Thirty Lakhs Fourty Eight Thousand Six Hundred and Twenty Seven) only approximately, besides premium deposits in various insurance companies amounting to Rs.5,76,023.00 has been traced.
