Ex-Gratia Given to Covid Martyrs’ Spouses by Ganjam Police

Chatrapur,(Ganjam):Four police personnel have died due to Covid-19 in Ganjam Police district so far and their kin have been given Rs 50 lakh ex-gratia announced by the Odisha Government.
On Wednesday the Ganjam Police district handover the amount in shape of Cheque to the martyr’s family members by Brijesh Rai. SP, Ganjam.
In a token of arrangement in his office chamber Mr Rai said, “We expressing gratitude to Hon’ble Chief Minister, Odisha, for sanctioning of Ex-gratia of Rupees 50 lakh to each spouse of our 04 Police Covid Warriors who laid down their lives on the altar of COVID-19 duty”.
The compensation will pay without making any delay to the families of such Warriors who lost their lives fighting the deadly virus. Much before this was announced by Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik.
