ENTRY IN BERHAMPUR WILL BE RESTRICTED FROM MONDAY

BERHAMPUR:Entry in Berhampur will be restricted with effect from Monday. Today in a press meet BeMC Commissioner,Chakravartysingh Rathore and SP Berhampur,Pinak Mishra said while briefing to press people.
In his press note he cited, whereas Govt. of Odisha, Healtlr & Fancily Welfare Dept. has mention the Odisha.COVID-19 regulation,2020 where the Municipal Commissioner has been designated as the empowered officer to take measures for containment of COVID-19 diseases.
It has been observed that even after repeated instructions shop keepers markets are not following guidelines given from time to time and are not maintaining social distancing, and flouting instruction of Govt. of Odisha as well as the district administration. Further action is required in this regard for containment of spread of the disease.under Odisha COVID-19 regulation 2020 as well as under Odisha Municipal Corporation Act-2003 the following order is passed.
In the following streets only goods vehicles are allowed; Raja Sahi, Bachubari Sahi,Parrdara Sahi, Desibehera Sahi, Guda Goorji,Jena Sahi.Sarrkarapur Sahi,Nadia Gorji.
Regarding operation timing for wholesale traders will be;Till l0.00AM- Potato, Onion and banana wholesale business. From 11.00 AM to 04.00 PM-AIl grocery wholesaler artd rest whole sellers, For medical related wholesale time will be from 05. AM to 04.00 PM. Selling of rron-veg. items like fish, mutton, chicken will only be allowed by shops with permanent structures. All vending zoltes in the following areas are hereby sealed/ closed until further orders.
Only the following shops will be allowed to open from 05.00 AM to 04.00 PM’
Repair shops for all electronics, household and commercial items including separate. Services like Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician are allowed to remain open and provide Home Service. Consequently shops selling and repair like spare parts, ply wood etc. are allowed to remain open for the same duration of time. Counter sale of stand-alone etc. is not allowed. Shops providing construction materials and tools like cement, paint, hardware etc.are allowed to open. Restaurants and other carriers are allowed to do only Home Delivery till 11.00 PM. But any counter sale is not permitted. Shops selling Vegetable Fruits, Grocery. Medicinc.Agricultural products are allowed to open.
Any construction activity being carried out by private establishment/ home owner can only be allowed with prior permission from BeMC. given that they have their own labour camp. Shops providing material to Carpenters like ply wood, rnirrors, glass pane are allowed to remain open but furniture showrooms ancl furniture workshops are not allowed to open.
This order does not restrict the movement of personnel regarding to above activities and other emergency services as declared by govt, of Odisha.
No restriction on operation of medical shops, hospitals and other medical establishrnent. Those shops that are interested in home delivery of items may contact BeMC on call.
Strict social distancing norms as already effect along with norms and policy have to be complied with. Any violation will lead to stringent action.
Entry in Berhampur will be restricted. Only medical reason and those having rail and air tickets will be allowed to enter. No restriction on goods vehicle. Rest shops to remain closed until further orders.
Apart of,the police administration has also taken many major steps. By the direction of DIG and SP Berhampur. Strict restriction will be maintained for the incoming and outgoing movements of vehicles at 1st Gate Berhampur from today onwards. No unnecessary movements of vehicle will not be allowed. All the Officer and Men deployed have been briefed thoroughly.
