Enforcement Crack down in Berhampur Municipal area against hoarding of LPG Cylinders (!)

Berhampur: Cracking down on unscrupulous activities and hoarding of LPG, The Berhampur Municipal Corporation (BeMC) enforcement team along with Civil Supply and Food Safety teams conducted enforcement ,police raids at diff places across the Municipal Corporation limit to ensure smooth supply of the cooking gas cylinders to consumers on monday.
The department also appealed people to refrain from panic booking and making beeline near depots to receive gas cylinders.
During raid they have seized LPG from different establishment whnen the shop keeper failed to produce valid papers the covered areas are; 15 nos. Commercial cylinders seized from Shankar Bhawan and seven from Nadan Hotel for want of supporting papers. Areas covered: Sano Bazaar, Bada Bazaar, Bhapur Bazaar, Military Line, One Way Traffic Road, Church Road, Ramlingam Tank Road,: Shopkeepers sensitized for mandatory display of rate charts., Total gas cylinders seized= 31 (29 Commercial and 02 Domestic cylinders) Shankar Bhawan =15,Nandan Hotel= 07 ,Maa Bhavani Hotel =05 ,Amrut Tiffin Center= 04 (02 ,Commercial and 02 Domestic).
Officials said enforcement teams comprising the Kalyani Sanghamitra, Deputy Commissioner, BeMC,Sanjay Mallik, ACSO ,Puspanjali Meher, Marketing Inspector ,Ranjan Sethy, ,Marketing Intelligence Inspector ,Bikash Nayak, Junior Enforcement Officer, BeMC , Liza Mishra, Food Safety Office and Satyajit Behera.
Speaking to,Odisha Barta the municipal administration told this steps launched an exercise for regular verification of stock and distribution.
