ELEPHANTS DAMAGED PROCURED PADDY AT GOSANI BLOCK

Paralakhemundi:On last mid-night around 2 AM 6 elephants trounced stocked paddy(those at open field)of 2 families of Bhinola village under Gurandi Police limit of Gosani block in Gajapati. At that time whole villagers were slept & suddenly 6 elephants fled from nearest Andhra border areas entered to village.Those procured 75 paddy bags  of Subas Barada & 4 bags of Balakrushna Barik were stocked.

Out of 75 bags of Subas 6 bags & all 4 bags paddy of Balakrushna damaged. Total quantity about 10 quintals lost. Immediately villagers rushed with flame to divert those elephants from the village.

After getting information local RI Sandhya Biswal & Forester visited the damaged areas. Compensation will be given after detail enquiry from RI.
