Sapling Plantation under ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ Campaign at NTPC Northern Region HQ

Lucknow,(09/07/25):NTPC Northern Region Headquarters organized a plantation drive on July 9, 2025, as part of the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0’ campaign, reaffirming NTPC’s commitment to sustainability and environmental conservation.

The event was led by Shri Goutam Deb, Regional Executive Director (North), who planted saplings in the presence of Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Chief General Manager (HR), Heads of Departments, senior officials, and employees. On the occasion, Senior officials and employees planted saplings to celebrate the day.

To mark the special occasion, fruit-bearing saplings were distributed to all employees by RED(North) , encouraging them to plant trees at their homes and contribute to a greener environment.

‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam 2.0,’ launched on June 5, 2025, is the second phase of an initiative inspired by the Hon’ble Prime Minister, urging every citizen to plant a tree in the name of their mother or Mother Earth.
