ED Seals Archana Nag’s Residence in Bhubaneswar Over Non-Compliance In Money Laundering Case

ED Seals Archana Nag’s Residence

Bhubaneswar: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Friday sealed the Bhubaneswar residence of Archana Nag, the key accused in a high-profile money laundering case, after she allegedly defied repeated directives to vacate the property.

An ED team carried out a search at her Satya Vihar residence in Pandara under Mancheswar police limits and later sealed the 3-storey building, including fixtures and furniture. The agency acted after Nag ignored an eviction notice issued earlier in connection with the ongoing probe.

Sources said the move was part of the agency’s legal action against her non-compliance, which has been hampering further investigation and possible seizure of assets. No official comments were available from either Nag or the ED.

The crackdown comes amid continued investigations into the 2022 money laundering case, where Nag and her husband, Jagabandhu Chand, were arrested for allegedly amassing wealth through illegal means. Following her arrest, the ED had attached several of her assets, including luxury vehicles and other high-value properties.

Despite a court order directing her to vacate the Satya Vihar house, Nag reportedly refused to comply, prompting Friday’s action.
