Paralakhemundi,-2/07/2025:-Far from aloof Gajapati district needs attention of GO-NGO (Government Organization-Non Government Organization). Covering hilly region of eastern ghat attention plateau under Mahendragiri to be drawn before district administration. More focus on grassroots is indispensable.

On Gajapati leading NGOs meeting viewed Director of Agragami Achyut Das.Held at SWWS office premises among those NGOs CCD,JKP & ISARA with host SWWS representatives attended. Day to day financial crunch on NGO funding, too,a weak point to mobilize partner community.Still they empowered women, among them elected as MLA,serving as PRI representatives & village development committees, too, their partner communities.Gajapati district has got apt resources. Particularly on agriculture & horticulture there farmers

can establish better livelihood. as viewed a blue print to address core issues. Moreover need of integrity & unique understanding among Gajapati NGOs who are quite in their respective fields can prove their strength to assemble in a district level  program.

This will pull better socio-economic dynamics subject to livelihoods & decision making. Some filaments can be brought & changed livelihood circle through processing of pineapples & jackfruits which are produced massively in those 5 scheduled blocks eg;Gumma,Rayagada, Nuagada,RUdayagiri & Mohana. There tribal communities have limited resources on plain land. Similarly some selected paddy seeds like ‘Kalajeera’have quality products which can be an input in rice bowl Paralakhemundi urban area,Gosani & Kashinagar blocks. Secondly up gradation on maize & cashew on better marketing another feather to support them.Indigenous seeds now a days are reduced which a stellar support as nutritious crops a great revival of millets. Those were produced on a massive scale  with organic manure earlier. So preservation of those seeds will boost better livelihood cycle. Infrastructures development are also needed by strong monitoring of local youths & role of women on participation with gender equity can be ensured parallel MGNREGA to bring transparency & accountability.Women must reflect on road map, where in some areas road communication, drinking water are more as core issues. So subject of planning & decision making their key role will be fruitful on development scenarios.
