DWO Asima Rao boosts morale of school students

Rayagada, (Badal Tah) :  Asima Rao has joined as District Welfare Officer in Rayagada after a successful stint as Special Officer, Lanjia Sira Development Agency(LSDA) in Putasing, Gunupur. LSDA is specifically working for the integrated development of Lanjia Soura tribals, a PVTG category. Asima spearheaded the Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) which is aimed at saturating PVTGs families with individual entitlements and habitations with basic facilities, by making these tribal communities aware about their entitlements. During the campaign period, Aadhar Card, Community Certificate and Jan Dhan Accounts will be provided as these are basic requirements for other schemes such as issue of Ayushman CardPM Kisan Samman NidhiKisan Credit Card etc. She also recently visited a few schools under the aegis of welfare deptt without any notice, warned against the mismanagement and instructed for smooth functioning. Her action has been appreciated by the local denizens.

Joining as Chief Guest in Padmapur Saraswati Vidya Mandir’s 18th Annual Celebration, Asima has encouraged the students in all round activities apart from putting serious efforts in study. She also advised the students to be patriotric and spiritual being obedient to parents as their first gurus and school teachers.

Other guests, who adored the dais were Padmapur BDO Shiba Prasad Patnaik, Tehsildar Shankar Bagh, Block Vice-Chairperson Ramesh Chandra Sahu,  Padmapur Sarpanch Prakash Kandagari. The Chief speaker was Gunpur Government College Principal Sri Shashibhushan Mohanty. The president of the institution, Purnabasi Panigrahi presided over the meeting. School’s Secretary Sunil Mishra introduced the guests. School’s Principal Pradhan Acharya Radhakrishna Sahu presented the annual report. The report mentioned that the school earlier organised grandparent conference, annual sports, etc. Prizes were distributed by the guests to the students, who passed the Navodaya examination. A colorful cultural program was staged by the children of the institution. The Joint-Secretary og the school Dr. Arun Kumar Singh, Santunu Das and all the Guruji Gurumas moderated the event. The treasurer of the school, Gopal Krishna Sahu, thanked everyone.
