During Corona Pandamic Excise Striking Force Seized Ganja over 45 Laks in Ganjam

Ganjam:By the direction of Collector,Ganjam on Saturday in the morning time during patrolling  the team detain a Tractor by the direct supervision of Tahasildar Kodola   bearing Reg.No.OD 07 L 8243 at Kanchana road near Bijaya Family Restaurant.

While the squadron searched the  Tractor with  joint effort of  the  team of Excise and  Police officials in the presence of Tahasildar,Kodola,Abani Kumar Sahu ,Abhiram Behera,Dy.Supdt.of Excise,Chatrapur and Debasish Mohanty,IIC Kodola Police station. They found 30 nos of Jari  bags in each bag containing 30 kgs of Ganja all total 900 kgs or 9 (Nine) Quintals.

Speaking to scribe the Superintendent of Excise told during search the Ganja along with Tractor seized by Smt.Pritidhara Nayak, Inspector of Excise Striking Force Chatrapur and booked an absconded case against the Tractor owner Arun Sahu under NDPS Act,as the driver of the Tractor managed to fled away from the spot. Investigation is under Way, the driver and the Tractor owner will be arrested shortly. The approximate value of the seized Ganja is Rs,45 Lakhs.
