DURGA PUJA 2022; BERHAMPUR POLICE ALL SET FOR LAW & ORDER

Berhampur: The Berhampur Police all set to maintain the law and order during of Durga Puja celebration in City.
According to Superintendent of Police Dr.Saravana Vivek,M this year total 42 Durga Puja committee have taken permission from police administration.ThePuja pandals, arranged by different Puja committee at different location across the Municipal area.
Keeping in view for security and safety of the public, Berhampur police have deployed adequate Police staffs starts from “Navaratri” at all sensitive places for public security frequent movement of PCR vehicle with officers and issued instructions to all committee for bands, DJ and organisers against use of loud speakers during Durga Puja .
The superintendent of Police clearly stated that provisions of Noise Pollution (Regulation & Control) Rules, 2000 and the Supreme Court order, restricting sound output of loudspeakers to the extent of 65 decibel and official order shall be strictly followed by the committee during the Durga Puja festival.
Similarly, all band/ DJ and musical parties using amplifiers along with other musical instruments shall install sound limiters connected to the amplifiers with fixed output of 65 decibel. Use of number of sound boxes by the music party should be limited to 4-5 during Dusshera.
No audio system shall be let out without being fitted with sound limiters.
The band/DJ and music parties registered in their respective police stations and no music shall be played within the radius of 100 meters of silent zones- School, College, Hospital and court.
