Talcher:The prevalence of white poison is increasing day by day in Black Diamond City of Talcher, where there are industrial companies and coal mines. Youths all over the region have gone astray after consuming brown sugar, churus, heroin and codiene phospates. Many young people who are not able to get jobs or employment are suffering from the disorder and are showing more interest in this addiction. And some youths are getting more and more addicted to drugs. In Talcher coal mining areas, Southblanda, Central Colony, Dera, Deulbeda, Sharmachhak, Hatatota, Firstgate, Rani park Bus Stand, Bypass Canal Road, Shanibarhat field, Saubhagya Sagar pond side, Mandapal river ghat, Rajbati and the area in front of the stadium have become the hangout for brown sugar consumers and drunkards . Many educated young people are especially interested in consuming drugs like Ganja, cocaine, brown sugar, drugs etc.
As soon as the sun sets, the youths go to various drug dens as they get restless.
Under investigation, it is observed that for money, drug-addicted youths do not hesitate to commit various criminal activities. The police have also expressed suspicion that these addicted youths are involved in the incident of robbing gold chains, robbing bikes and stealing on the road in Talcher. It is also observed that many drugged youths are riding bikes at high speed due to the fact that they often meet with accidents and die.
Many such young people are losing their lives by consuming white poison and their parents are feeling very sorrow in grief. Many youths are roaming like crazy in the market due to drugs,it cannot be diagnosed. Further, the situation will become more complicated if this young addict is saved from the ill effects of addiction. In the last three months, more than Rupees 15 lakhs of brown sugar have been seized by the police. In addition, more than 10 culprits have been arrested and sent to jail. The main kingpin who supplies these life lost drugs has not been arrested till date.
