DRM CONDUCTS INSPECTION & OVERSEES RAYAGADA RAILWAY DIVISION WORK
Rayagada (Badal Tah) : Divisional Railway Manager(DRM) Waltair Manoj Kumar Sahoo inspected the Vizianagaram- Rayagada section of Waltair Division last Tuesday. He took stock of various amenities and facilities provided at the stations enroute and reviewed ongoing developmental activities in that section.
DRM conducted a thorough inspection of Rayagada station and various amenities at the station. He inspected retiring rooms, crew lobby, waiting lounge and railway offices at the station and interacted with the staff and civic bodies at Rayagada. Foot Over Bridges, circulating areas, parking facilities, station building improvements and railway colony developments were also inspected. A spot has been identified to construct Rayagada DRM’s residence near railway police barrack.
DRM also conducted a window-trailing inspection from Vizianagaram to Rayagada, overseeing the ongoing infrastructure development activities and assessing the progress of amenities in the section. This approach is part of a strategic plan aimed at enhancing various amenities and infrastructure facilities across the section as work for a new Railway Division at Rayagada is under progress. Members from Majhighariani Trust Board requested the DRM to put the effigy/photo of Sri Sri Majhighariani at the entrance of Platform no-1. As the railway is earning a lot of revenue due to influx of thousands of people every day to offer pujah to the deity, establishing the photo of the deity with fixation of a QR code, said Kiran Kumar, Rabindra Patakhandal and Bijay Kumar Das representing the civic body. DRM assured the members to do the needful. Sr DCM, DSP, Station ManagerParamananda Pidikaka accompanied the DRM, who arrived at Rayagada in a special train.
